Q: What was the inspiration behind the event?
Many yoga students come to a place where they want to take their practice to the next level. They feel the benefits of their practice and want a bigger understanding of what’s behind the content of the classes they attend, a deeper embodiment of the practice as a whole. Teacher training programs have become the default place to go for such students. Barefoot Movement’s Cultivate Your Practice and Vinyasa Yoga Immersion programs are meant to satisfy that need without the constraints of ‘becoming a teacher’.
Q: Tell us in one sentence why attendees love the event.
“The environment is warm, excepting, and in my program there was absolutely no hint of competitiveness or contention and I totally love each and every one. We each had something unique to give and to receive.” A testimonial of a past student.
Q: What’s the best thing about holding the event in Oakland?
Oakland is a diverse, unique, creative, and lively community. Our location makes it easy for people on the go to drop in for a class before or after work or even on a lunch break. We love being in the middle of all the beautiful noise that is Oakland!
Q: Does your event partner with local businesses in Oakland?
We offer onsite classes for Oakland businesses and are partnering with other businesses for trade in services and/or discounts.
Q: What’s the one thing Oakland offers that makes it the best place for your event?
Q: What is the one thing you want everyone to know about this event?
How do I know if my practice is advanced enough for the Cultivation Your Practice to be a good fit for me? Chances are good that if the program is appealing to you, that you’re ready.
