AMP Oakland is a curated busker program that will host and promote weekly performances in public plazas and private lobbies throughout Downtown Oakland. Through this initiative we will further the vibrancy of Downtown Oakland and strengthen the foundation of our local cultural arts economy by directly supporting local artists and performers.
The mission of AMP Oakland (Arts, Music, Performance Oakland) is to promote Downtown Oakland as a cultural arts destination while assisting in the effort to Keep Oakland Creative by offering local performers the opportunity to get paid to perform and showcase their talents in their own community. AMP Oakland is a curated busker program that will host and promote weekly performances in public plazas and private lobbies throughout Downtown Oakland.
Through the AMP Oakland initiative we will: Build community, incubate the local cultural arts scene, stimulate the local economy and create a more vibrant Downtown.
