Xolo is our take on a Mission-style taqueria in downtown Oakland, California. Named after the hairless dogs that Frida Kahlo used to keep, Xolo is a fun and casual taqueria where you can eat on our patio, mezzanine, or in our large dining room, in an atmosphere that harkens an old style taqueria with touches from the 1950s and 60s. We are located in the historic Floral Depot building, next to our sister restaurant Flora, and across the street from the newly renovated Fox Theater.

We primarily serve tacos and burritos with carefully selected combinations of meats, beans, vegetables, and sauces. There are also a few other fun items like our bacon wrapped hot dog (our Danger Dog), mini crispy churros, vegan pozole, and Mexican hot chocolate. We make everything from scratch and we use local and organic ingredients as much as possible. Xolo is a great late night spot to grab some tacos and a beer or to enjoy a late lunch when everything is closed between lunch and dinner.
